Welcome to Walnut Creek Holistic Therapy!
So often in our day to day lives we are running rampant with work, our personal relationships and other life demands.
We get tired, drained and overwhelmed. We get so caught up in doing things that the world demands of us that we may forget to take time for ourselves.
We forget to reflect and ponder why we are living our lives the way that we are. We get so busy at times that, perhaps, we don’t even recognize that we’re feeling anxious or depressed. It may not be until that moment when we suddenly stop doing that we notice that, underneath all this “busy-ness”, we’re really just sad, lonely or worried.
In our typical busy and demanding lives, it’s very easy to feel like we’re running on empty. It’s very easy to feel like we have no place to go to really be nourished and have time and space for ourselves.
To me, therapy allows that to happen and more.
Therapy is the place where you can let go.
It’s where you can simply allow you to be you without fear of judgment and criticism.
It’s where you can have good days and you can have bad days and both are completely okay and accepted.
It’s a place where you can take some moments to just breathe and not worry about what will happen tomorrow or the next day.
You can allow yourself to just be. And, in that process, a transformation can happen.
You may find yourself less stressed and overwhelmed.
You may find yourself more at ease in social interactions.
You may start to notice that your mind is racing a lot less than it was before.
And maybe, eventually, you may even start to notice that you’re doing things that you’ve once only dreamed of doing.
Are you ready?
Therapy in Walnut Creek & the East Bay
As a therapist, I utilize methods that go deep quickly, so that we can get to the heart of the issue and you can feel relief quickly and achieve healing effectively. I do this by using a combination of talk therapy and Brainspotting (a body-based form of therapy).
I am non-pathologizing (meaning: there is nothing inherently wrong with you) and accepting of where my clients are in the moment. I encourage my clients to take the lead with where they want to go and what they want to work on, while I am a support and guide in that process.
I take a holistic approach in my work, which means that I focus on the “big picture” rather than one issue or diagnosis. I am also very aware of the mind-body-soul connection in my work. Along with talk and body-based therapies, I also integrate mindfulness, breath work, Non-violent communication, Sand play, art therapy, and more.
